Transforming Complex Data into Clear Stories and Actions
Writing
I have been writing stories as long as I can remember, and in the last few years I've self-published two novellas and entered several writing contests. I enjoy writing crime or drama and creating suspense and mystery.
The Case of Robin A. Scott
I self-published my first novella, The Case of Robin A. Scottthrough Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing in August of 2021. I wrote the novella when I was 14 over the course of a few weeks, and, when I decided to publish it, spent a few more thoroughly editing it. I also made a miniature set to create the image on the cover.
Synopsis: Robin A. Scott was missing for only eight hours. After she awoke in a different town, Robin couldn't recall anything. In the days following, Robin tried her best to remember what had happened but was unable to. Was she abducted, or did she run away? Robin has to confront more than herself to find the answer.
The Five States of Death
I wrote my second novella, The Five States of Death, during the pandemic and published it in August of 2024, also through Amazon. I planned this story thoroughly because I was using a different narrative device. Each chapter is from a different perspective. As with my first novella, I also created miniatures for this cover.
Synopsis: A young wife slain in Minnesota. A father abducted in Iowa. Parents slaughtered in their Missouri home. An addict taken off the streets of Texarkana. A tourist couple killed in their New Orleans hotel room. In this book are the stories from the people whose lives were horribly impacted by a senseless murder, and the investigations into the common thread that connected them all. These are the unheard stories from citizens in five cities as they deal with the crime around them. These are the five states of death
